The Dawn E. Petersen Foundation, Inc. was founded in 2004 in memory of Dawn E. Petersen of Appleton, Wisconsin who passed away from Acute Myelogenous Leukemia (AML) in April of 2002. Dawn was a loving Wife, Mother, Daughter, Sister and Friend to many. She was an active community volunteer on the board of Project Bridges Day Care and Master Gardeners of Appleton among other things. Her spirit of giving back to the community has prompted those who loved her to start a foundation to help other families who are living with serious illnesses.

Here's How DEPF Has Helped:

199 families have received Life Enhancing Grants ranging from $250-$750.
3000 phone cards distributed to midwest hospitals, Ronald McDonald houses and Hope lodges.
300 pre-paid gas cards distributed.
Planted and maintain Dawn's Gardens at Kathy's House in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
$5,000 in grants to families who could not even afford the modest fee at Kathy's House.
